October 17, 2004: I haven't assigned section 3.2 and 3.3 yet, but from
what I
did in class on Thursday October 14 you should be familar with these
homework problems. What
I did assign on that day was to find the eigenvector corresponding to
the eigenvalue -sqrt(3)
of some 2x2 matrix. This is very similar to problem number 1 on section
3.3.
Remember that this set of homework problems is just a set of suggested
problems. You should do ALL of these just to make sure that you
are prepared for the quiz. For practice, you should also do as
many problems as you can which are similar to these.
