At the begining of June I went to Barcelona for FPSAC '99 for around 10 days with Serge. We took a lot of pictures so I hope that you don't get bored seeing them all. The thought was that if we took about 10 rolls of pictures and got 3 or 4 good pictures from each roll then we would have 30-40 really nice pictures of the trip. This is about what happened, but I may have taken a few more and enlarged and cropped a few for this web page. I also tried lightening a few that were darker than I would like, this was not very sucessful.
Anyway, we had a great time taking them all. The first 4 days that we were there Serge and I took turns snapping photos of each other. One of me, one of him, one of me, etc. We were excited when Rosa showed up to do some sightseeing with us because we had more combinations to try.
I loved Barcelona. It was a beautiful, well-maintained city. There was so much to see and experience there that I didn't mind that we didn't get the chance to leave.
The conference was great and I met a lot of really nice people. I was also really glad to see Rosa and Roberto again and to see so many of the former San Diego students.
I am mailing the address of this site to all of the people at our table at the conference dinner. If you want copies of the photo just let me know (e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org). These photos are on page 9 so you don't have to wade through all of them if you don't want.
IGNORE the way that I spelled all of the places we saw. Not only did I not figure out how to pronounce Spanish/Catalan before I left, I also did not learn to spell it and I don't have a tour book or anthing around where I am writing this to help me.
